I get very, very, very aggravated when I hear writers (peers) complain about how Hollywood or the world doesn’t give them the credit they deserve (even though I agree with them.) Why can’t they just accept that some things are the way they are? Also, who in their right mind (unless they’re a writer themselves or a staged-reading fanatic) would rather see the creative process over the end-result….thingamajig? One’s on paper and the other’s in a fucking movie theater. On a similar note, they’re renovating the bathrooms at work and while I’m impressed by and appreciate all the work that’s going into it, we all wanna see some pink tiles already. Sorry, sorry – human.

In closing, there’s nothing worse than needy art. I think the best writers, and for that matter the best feminists – best ANYTHINGS – are the ones who know which battles to fight and which to just sheet the feek up about. And in the words of Curtis Gwinn, “You gotta not give a shit. That’s when stuff starts happening.”

If I’m wrong, you can stone me, just not to death.
